On Friday 30th November 2018, BARRATT supported fellow Stockport band Fuzzy Sun in The Pink Room at Manchester’s newest live venue YES. The gig was sold out and the line-up included second support from Solis. BARRATT opened the evening and performed a storming set of songs to a packed out home crowd.

The YES gig was the second time Barratt has supported Fuzzy Sun, having been invited to play at their series of introductory gigs at Jimmy’s in early 2018. Synchronicity was in the air because some of BARRATT’s earliest live performances were with guitarist Raffaele Pani who went on to join Fuzzy Sun. Having met studying music at Aquinas College in Stockport, they played together at the opening night of Seven Miles Out Arts Centre in April 2014.

Later that year, BARRATT made his first solo performance supporting Blossoms at their early series of gigs at the Blue Cat Cafe in Heaton Moor. Blossoms’ guitarist Josh Dewhirst was also a friend from the music performance course at Aquinas College.

And so Stockport’s music family tree has evolved! Over the past five years the Stockport music scene has been growing spearheaded by the international success of Blossoms and its great to see many young bands who are now proud to say they are from Stockport.
